Welcome to the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Plan (WCIP). Policies are underwritten by Accident Fund Insurance Company of America and serviced by Assigned Risk Solutions, a division of AF Group. Assigned Risk Solutions is committed to supporting you throughout the lifetime of your WCIP policy.

WCIP provides workers’ compensation coverage to employers who may have difficulty obtaining insurance in the voluntary market. Assigned risk coverage ensures that workers’ compensation insurance remains available to any employer who needs it, including those considered higher risk by standard insurers.

Some employers may be placed in the assigned risk market for reasons such as:

• A very small or newly formed workforce
• Being a new company with little or no loss history
• Higher-than-expected losses in the past
• Hazardous work conditions

Assigned Risk Solutions’ goal is to help employers in the Assigned Risk Plan improve their risk profile over time. By building a positive loss history or reducing losses, employers may increase their chances of transitioning to the voluntary market, where greater flexibility may be available.
